Wizard/Messenger - While James McCoy is not new to theater, this
marks his first performance in his adopted hometown of Cumming,
Georgia. James has held leading roles in “Little Shop of Horrors,” “The
Wizard of Oz”, “The Odd Couple,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Into the Woods,” “In
Darkest America,” “Annie,” and “Rumors.” James also took the stage
every week with an improvisational comedy troop in Greensboro, North
Carolina from 1997 to 1999. James is the President & CEO of the
Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Nicole
are the proud parents of one sweet and two ill-tempered cats, Elvis,
Priscilla and Miss Katie Scarlett.
Queen/Princess - Suzanne Milton began her career in performance as a
munchkin in The Wizard of Oz at age 4. Since then she has been seen as
Charlotte in The Real Thing, Victoire in Hotel Paradiso, and most recently
as Carmen in Sweet Charity. She would like to thank her friends and family
for all their love and support, and is thrilled to be a part of this inaugural
performance of the Gypsy Theatre Company.
Prince - Mitch Rosewall is happy to be working with Gypsy Theatre
Company on their maiden voyage. Mitch is coming out of retirement after
taking a year-long hiatus from theatre upon graduating from Forsyth
Central High. Mitch is currently pursuing a degree in film and video from
GSU and hopes to capture beauty and imagination in the frame of a
camera. Previous credits include "Joseph" in Joseph and the Technicolor
Dreamcoat, "Motel" in Fiddler on the Roof, and Henry David Thoreau in
The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail. Thanks to Mom, Dad, Cory, Steve, Terry,
Stephanie, and Kitty, without whom this would be entirely possible. Mitch
would also like to wish Danielle and Mercury the best luck in all their
endeavors.
King/Dragon - Joey Waldrop recently graduated from the University of
Georgia with a degree in Theatre and Film Studies. His numerous stage
credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, King Lear, SubUrbia, and The
Last of My Solid Gold Watches. His not-so-numerous film credits include
the feature film Deadland and Dixie Melodie, a television sit-com pilot set in
New Orleans. Joey’s inspirations include Mahatma Gandhi, William
Wallace, Michael Jordan, Alfred Hitchcock, and his mom. He would like to
thank everyone for coming to the show and hopes you enjoy The Festival
of Cups.
